Recode’s Kara Swisher reports on how the three tech companies are planning to host design design conferences in the coming year.
The three tech giants are all planning to bring their own design events, including a conference for designers and fashion designers to share their work.

We’ll have a new section on the Recode website called Recode Fashion Design Conference to showcase our partners, and the theme is Designing in the Digital Age, Recode has announced.
Google and Facebook will be hosting their own fashion design events in the future.
“We’re excited to partner with the companies to host their own designs and events in 2019, which will make it easier for brands to connect with consumers on social, physical and digital platforms,” Recode CEO Kara Swishersaid in a blog post.
“Recode is excited to see how these brands’ brands of choice will collaborate with our partners on design and digital design initiatives, and to partner on these efforts as we continue to grow the Recoded brand.”
Facebook will host a fashion design conference in 2019.
Recode says it will have a section on Recode for brands and individuals to showcase their work and the design of their products.
Google is holding a fashion designers conference this year.
Facebook and Google are also planning to have design events for brands, with each tech giant holding a separate design event.
Apple, the company with the largest amount of design work done for smartphones, has announced its own fashion designers event in 2019 and is looking for designers to collaborate with it.
Apple is holding its own design event for consumers and brands in 2019 with more than 50 designers participating.
Amazon will hold a fashion event in 2020, and Amazon has set up a page to help companies submit their designs for the event.
Amazon will also be hosting its own digital design conference for its own products, which is set to take place in 2018.
