According to a report in The Times Of India, the course is the first to be offered in the country, and aims to help students gain practical experience with the profession and to learn the fundamentals of the profession.
The course is expected to be taught in English and Hindi.
It is being offered at the institute by Kunal Vohra, a lecturer in the Department of Education.
It is part of the institute’s flagship programme, the Interior and Environmental Design (IED) programme, which is designed to train engineers and designers to design and construct sustainable urban environments.
It has been widely criticised by environmentalists, with many saying it is not suitable for students with a strong passion for the environment.
In the last year, more than 500 students have enrolled in IED courses in the US, with the US government pledging to double the number of the course’s graduates.
The institute has been working to improve the curriculum in recent years, introducing an ‘Environmental Design for Designers’ course, which had previously been offered in Delhi.
